KATE JACKSON
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Statement of Advocacy
Why should you employ me for an internship? Well...
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am currently a second year student studying BA(Hons) Interior Design at the University of Salford. My passion for Art and Design began from a very young age; I was forever drawing and painting in my spare time. This alone has influenced the creative career path I have pursued to date. Prior to my degree course, I spent two years at a Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College studying Product Design and Double Award Art at A-Level.
Within my degree course, I have completed seven projects so far including a site analysis and residential design for both interior and exterior of a building. I have also completed projects involving environmental design, design for a branded company, and a building analysis for Ordsall Hall. This exciting learning curve is a great way of developing my skills and to prepare myself for real world practise.
I am an extremely motivated person as I am passionate about what I do and I have a great ability to work under pressure. In the future, I aspire to be a professional Interior Designer working within a high standard company with an extremely strong team of people. I am aiming to fulfil my ambition to get experience within Interior Design before I graduate in order to develop my assets and see a different view of how professional practise works in industry.
I will bring a unique vibe to your company as I am enthusiastic and always happy. I can work both individually and as part of a team and I am very versatile in doing so. The professional opportunities you present are intriguing and seems like an exciting prospect to me. I enjoy solving problems and finding solutions and this gives me determination to complete projects to the best of my ability.
I would be highly appreciative of any opportunity to gain any sort of experience with you, for this to become possible I will be very flexible with my time attendance to suit you I will adapt to your needs to make this placement happen. I could work one day a week; work a short intense placement; or even to work remotely, attending periodic meetings within your company. I intend to do this all without remuneration as it is only the experience that is incredibly important to me.
It would be a great pleasure if you could consider my application, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind regards,
Kate Jackson.
