KATE JACKSON
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Technical Models Ltd.
I am currently on a 6 week internship (2nd April '13 - 10th May '13) at Technical Models Ltd. based in Stockport, Cheshire. This is an extremely interesting workplace for me as I have always been very passionate about bringing a vision to life through model making.
I am learning new skills and techniques from a number of highly skilled craftsmen, allowing me to produce professional models created for industry. Working with a range of different clients has made me become more aware of how demanding clients are with their requirements and time schedules. I am also receiving an insight into the costing of projects.
Technical Models was established in 1982. The company produces a variety of models, prototypes, exhibitions and displays for a variety of clients. This includes work such as architectural models, engineering models, interactive exhibitions and concept models. It has formed a solid reputation from around the world as one of the UK's top model production teams.
The models are all handmade on-site in a workshop environment by a team of 10 people with many years experience behind them. Each model is made with a great amount of accuracy and precision.
